Perry W. Woofter, JD
Mr. Woofter was formally a Senior Vice President of Tesoro Petroleum Corporation and in that capacity headed their international and government affairs, including being the first person to institute counter trade in Latin America to assist countries in national debt. He was also Executive Vice President of Titan Corporation, heading its international division.
Educated at Morris Harvey College, The International Academy of Mexico and West Virginia University, Mr. Woofter hold degrees in Archeology, Arts, Economics, Science and Biological Sciences. He also holds a Bachelor of Law degree and Doctor of Jurisprudence.
Mr. Woofter was counsel and chief government representative to the American Petroleum Institute and acquired a prominent space in the Washington political circle as Administrative Assistant and Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Robert C. Byrd.
He has had extensive law practice specializing in coal, oil and gas in public utilities, and has served in the Public Service Commission of West Virginia as trial examiner and administrative judge.
Mr. Woofter belongs to several academic, professional, business and social institutions throughout the United States, particularly in the Washington D.C. areas. He has established and maintains contacts in different parts of the world with political leaders, business executives, public and private individuals of significance in various fields.
