Research

The TRDC Research and Support Services Division provides scientific leadership, equipment and staff resources to conduct intensive research into a wide variety of studies and experiments to further biometric sciences and their utilization. While the primary mission of the Research Services Division is to conduct funded research to satisfy clients' information requirements regarding biometric products and technologies , the Division also undertakes unfunded research, from time to time to advance NBSP's strategic position as a leader in biometric sciences. As an example, in the area of social impact research, NBSP has completed two studies that deal with the relationship of biometric usage to U.S. and international Privacy laws and has developed a guideline for the collection, use, dissemination and storage of biometric data.
